Help
the Hurricane
Victims! They are families in
need.
Here's How You
and Your Family can be Hometown Heroes:
Families
helping families. That what we're all about and that's what
America does best!
A Call to Action
WE know that the character of America is at its best when faced
with calamities. We need your help with the flood victims in
Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. What can you do?
Plenty, and you don't have to leave home to do it. Here are
3 things you and your family can do to help:
1. Pray. Pray for the people who are the victims
of Hurricane Katrina and for the rescue and recovery efforts.
2. Donate. You can donate money to the
so that they
can but food and water, you can also donate your time to the
by helping
them to man telephones and help organize relief supplies in your area
locally. You can offer your money or time either through their
website (), or by
calling 1-800-HELP-NOW.
3. Encourage other families in your area to donate, time,
food, money to either the or a local church-based charity dedicated to the relief
effort.
4. Continue your normal activities as well as you can.
It is important to keep the national and local economy moving as
normally as possible. You can help by keeping up your normal routine
and supporting your local businesses. Then need to keep their
people employed as well.
In
far less important matters, we're back from our summer vacation! In keeping with this year's
theme of enriching the family, we've
adopted a cultural theme and gone to Italy- Home of DaVinci, Galileo,
Michelangelo and a few other world notables. We've also been to
4 other countries along the way, examining their cultures while
focusing on Italy. We'll have more information on how we set it
up, what we saw and what we did over then next few weeks, so please
Czech back often!

Honoring
Those who Serve Please remember
the cost of your freedom. Over 1000 service men and women
have died to keep terrorists off our shores and bottled up in
Iraq. Honor those who died to keep
Terrorism, Fascism and Communism off our shores, and those who
continue that work today. Please also consider a donation to a
charity or service that supports our troops, especially those
supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. Click here for
some good ideas on how to make this a family project.
